Peter Rich and I go way back. I remember when Peter's bike shop (Velo Sport, now defunct) was on University Ave. We were fellow Berkeley Wheelmen together. Wheelmen used to meet in his Mother's basement near Ashby and Fulton in the 60's. Got my Eisentraut from Velo Sport (on Grove St (Martin Luther King)) in ~1970.
In 2015 Peter had a serious stroke.
Here's a little squib that captures part of Peter's essence. Don't know exactly where I got it but it must have been at a birthday party for Peter ~2017.
Peter passed away on 3 August 2023. He was one of a kind and I miss him.
