Helen was born in Malad, Idaho, daughter of Thomas Edwin and Carrie Adelia Clark Vaughan, on June 9, 1915. She lived in Malad the majority of her life and received her schooling there. In 1993, she moved to Rigby to be near her family. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in the Relief Society, Primary and Scouting programs. Her love of reading resulted in a large book collection. Her artistic talent was demonstrated and shared through her cooking, sewing and quilting.
Helen married Lewis E Morgan of Malad on May 31, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were divorced in 1972.
Helen is survived by her two daughters, Christine Gillies of San Diego, Calif., and Virginia Moss of Rigby, Idaho; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, seven half brothers, one half sister and a grandson.
